Blue Jean Skirts

                                                           up cycled Blue Jean Skirt
                                                        TIE ONE ON!
 Blue Jean Skirt.

For the BELT, I folded the wide end of this tie in half and hand stitched it about 4 inches along.
The full width of the tie looked too big on the skirt.
I folded the cotton material up from the bottom to create the finished hem on the skirt.
I finished the top seam and then top stitched the skirt to the denim.
A blue silver glass beads finishes the skirt. It does shimmer and shine and catch your eye as you walk.

There are so many beautiful, funky silk ties in the world out there waiting to be loved!
There are also many ties around my studio calling out to be needed.
I thought Ties the perfect pair and perk for these great summer skirts.
The Tie and scarf belts should be removed from the skirt to be hand washed separately.

The soft ruffle and floral scarf add simple charm

I love this skirt.
Add a touch of class with the addition of a belt/scarf, a beautiful antique button and hand beaded
         trim.

                                       Light and Ladylike

The rayon bottom skirt was a ruffle that I cut from the bottom of a dress and stitched to the bottom of the denim.
The applique on the skirt front was once an applique on the front of a tank top.  I hand stitched it to the front of the skirt. The fun button was found in my wonderful collection of buttons.
The seam is finished with glass shimmery beads that are hand stitched.

                                                            It's Hip to be Square
This striped tie insisted that it was made for the plaid skirt.
The bottom ruffle was made from the leg material of both the shorts and the jeans.
The button adds pop and the beads add hip.
This tie was a bit thinner so I used it without folding and stitching it.

                                                        Flirty and Fun
These are a grey Lee Jean that I dressed up as skorts.
I used a lacy coral color seam binding on the leg hems
and at the waist as a belt.
The matching antique button adds flair and the sheer over skirt adds romance.
The lace waist can be worn folded down (as on top right) or up (as on top left side).
